Crashed the colt today. Bringing my girlfriend back from uni and some woman emergancy stopped in the far right lane of the M40. Brilliant.
She was unharmed, me and missus have minor bruises but no broken bones.
On the hunt for a front end so I can repair it, going to cost a fair amount

Because the car infront of her slowed down, so she emergancy stopped. She was 100% stationary when I hit her, when everyone else was still doing 50+ Fuck knows what she was thinking. She had some tragic news in the morning, yet the police didn't breathalise her or see if she was in a fit state to drive.
Infact, they didn't even breathalise me, or ask to see my licence!
Good job I fitted them big brakes, otherwise i'd have hit her a LOT harder.

Cost me £130 to get highways agency to toe it off the motorway, then £200 for it to be brought to my bodyshop today. Should have pics monday / tuesday ish.

Bonet is now sorted, £20 + cost of paint.
Bumper and braces so far I can get for £100.
Headlghts bout £50, slam panel possibly £50.
+ Cost of paint and booth time....

:@ wtf was she thinking, stupid bitch!

Gutted for you dude! But at least you've got the skills/willingness to fix it yourself

Were there any witnesses?

Also didn't know Matt had one too. Other stupid, useless drivers need to die.

Got the bonet, slam panel, all braces and radiator etc today for a bargain £50
My old man went to pick them up when I was at work and he ended up just cutting half the front end off this donor car

Just need to fetch the bumper on Monday, find some more 1 piece headlights, and then the repairs can start.

Someone completely failed to notice that I'd come to a stop!

Insurance assessor will be round within the hour! Fingers crossed!

The hole is from me, had to cut the latch out to get the bonet open.

Bumper off, impact was high up so the bottom part is straight. You can see how pushed back the rad is:

Bumper brace and slam panel cut out, wings, inner arches, rad and fans and front wiring loom removed:

Welding new slam panel in soon, only part I need now is headlights.

Trust me Josh, it's even more gutting when it's not your own fault!

I know it doesn't look like it, but wasn't really my fault

New bumper is now ready for paint
Front of the car has been de-spot welded in places, ready for new.
Slam panel is almost split in two pieces (only need the top half)
Wings are flatted for blowing in where the headlights chipped the paint
Bonet... Is full of dints so is only going to be used for temporary!!

Want this back on the road asap, hopefully christmas, if not new year!
