Didn't think about excess Andy. Think it was £350 compulsary and 0 voluntary. I'm only tpft.
Her car isn't worth 2k, so I'm starting to think the garage just fixed it and billed the insurance without an accessor going out to see the damage.
Hopefuly my insurance will put up a fight and not just pay it, cause for 2k repairs it would've been a write off.
I've been ringing the police trying to get statements about the crash and that they were willing to let her drive off because there was no real damage to the car.
She did however get toed away because she flattened her battery, and the recovery company insist on taking photos of every car they toe, so they have a photo of the damage somewhere. If I can get hold of the police and the photos, I still have a chance to fight it I think.
...Or hope.
My tax is now due in 3 days for £200ish, waiting for the results from the MOT before I buy it though.
Oh and my £600 laptop has now run out of warrenty and has died, so I need a new one ASAP to carry on with college assignments!!

Unlucky or what!
What's with the bearings? Are they under parts warranty?
Are they even the right ones?

MOT passed now, good lads at my garage!
Run across town and picked up a new bearing, they fitted that and adjusted the handbrake. You need 15% to pass or something, and I just got 19% so it's okay for now.
Going to change the caliper and the cables in the year sometime (if I keep the car)
Old bearing is beings sent back to the manufacturer for testing and refund.
The one thats on its way out is going to be replaced in a few months when it's kaput and sent off too.
Last 2 advisorys were slight corrosion on some suspension mounts / componenets or something. Will get them sorted soon too (if I keep the car....)

You can't get rid after what you've been through to get to this stage, you'd regret it if you did.
Glad it passed btw (Y)

What brand are they and where did you buy them?
Quite worrying really, as a fucked bearing can cause a wheel to come off.
I spent the best part of Thursday bolting wheel bearing covers back onto a train at work, not fun

If the claim doesn't go through, I'm getting an integra I think. If it does, I'll have to keep the colt and pay a high insurance price for a bit!
Can't remember the brand of the bearings, but they're "UKs number 1 automotive bearing supplier." Got them from the regions best parts supplier, they're not genuine mitsi ones.
HIDs are off in tomorrow, evo aluminium radiator should be here monday too. Not spending anymore money on mods until I know what's happening with insurance
(and bloody speeding ticket!!)

Yup, my insurance company said I'm still seen as a higher risk just because I've made a claim. Apparently 'figures show' I'm more likely to claim again in the future.
Just an excuse to charge more tbfh.

They'll find any reason to.
And even when they can't find a reason to charge more, they do it anyway.
The cunts.

Not heard anything yet and they were invoiced about a week ago. I'm going to lose my no claims, but my renewal is up in march-ish....
If the claim only goes through in mid march, does that mean next years no claims is gone too?

Your insurance company will cancel your policy and you'll have to start a new one with 0ncb.
Mine temporarily cancelled mine until I bought a new car, then restarted it with my reduced ncb (2 rather than 4). Not sure what'd happen if I/you were seen to be at fault at all though. They'd probably reduce the ncb to 0 and continue it.
