Today the last ever issue of Redline magazine was put on sale. I bought a copy, interesting to see how different it is now. Less chavy for sure, but not necessarily better, it's a bit too serious now.

Any of you bought it lately?

It was pretty good at one point, about ten years ago. Used to buy it religiously alongside Max Power back then

Actually preferred it to Max Power in fact.

Last few years of Redline were all about performance tuning and nothing else, no tits or bodykits, so definitely more grown up but a tad boring really.

It's funny because both Max Power and Redline cleaned up their act to improve their image, and IIRC Fast Car is still pretty chavy these days.. yet it's the only one that's still going strong

Well I grew out of the lot of them years ago lol

The only magazine I (rarely) buy now is banzai - and that's only because jtuner was cancelled

Oh and I have a subscription to total honda magazine also

Same, not bought any of them regularly since about 2005. Since then only bought them when they were giving something good as a gift, or there was something in particular I wanted to read

Seen those Total Honda/Nissan/Impreza/Evo mags in WHSmith. Amazing how such a specialist magazine like that can survive, but a more generic one appealing to a wider audience struggles.

Still, internet > magazines.

Aye, I think people are quick to dismiss it as another chav'd Saxo magazine, it's been purely performance tuning for the last few years.

I have no need for magazines these days though, I browse online instead, increasingly on Pistonheads etc. Don't post on forums much though, I've probably posted more on Bolt than any other forum tbh

Long time no speak btw maet

I buy Top Gear magazine now and then depending what's in it. But tbh, I check the car news press website daily now (where the magazines/websites get all of their info from), so I've no real need to. It's just for when I'm bored... and because I like wasting money.

And hi what car are you in now Elliott?
