10k budget, not fussed on speed or looks as such. Ideally looking to spend £8,000 to leave room for insurance.

Currently interested in the new Renault Twingo or a used (2006+) VW Polo 1.4 TDi. Ruled out wanting a Fiesta Zetec S and Suzuki Swift.

What would you buy?

Nothing too sporty remember, he's not a boy racer

and err.. he can defo give me 8 grand for my car if he wants

I'm liking the Polo idea so far. But he likes the Twingo, just a bit short of extras unless you pay more for them.

I'd buy an Integra DC2 myself

Ok, fair enough. Maybe that's what you get when you dont smoke or drink...

Wait for a new Fiat 500 as I think they're rather cool! Or get a E36 BMW? Not that expensive but what he has left over can go on insurance!
